Massage Therapy is an ancient tradition practiced as early as the Egyptian dynasties. Passed down from civilization to civilization, it has been changed, expanded upon, and molded into what it’s current practice. It’s one of the most popular forms of stress and pain relief, and it’s practiced all over the world as a more relaxing, healthy form of medication. It’s also commonly used as therapy for athletes and by nurses to aid sleep in ailing patients. In one session, massage can further benefit someone suffering from high blood pressure and heart rate, state anxiety (temporary), and pain from injuries. In multiple visits, massage therapy can further reduce pain, trait anxiety (susceptibility to anxiety), and certain cases of depression.

It’s important to us that after any of our services, you feel healthy and much better than when you came in. iMassage only employs highly qualified and skilled massage therapists because we want you to feel safe and comfortable during your massage. Our massage therapists offer deep tissue massage, swedish massage, hot stone massage, corporate massage, lymphatic massage, facial massage, foot soak and massage, and gentle soft touch and palliative care.
Deep Tissue Massage
This type of massage is practiced to target deep muscles through the application of firm pressure and slower strokes. Typically, deep tissue massage is used to help ease chronic aches and pains in the lower back, neck, upper back, legs, and shoulders. This technique can yield multiple benefits including relief from lower back pain, repetitive strain injuries, Fibromyalgia, and Sciatica.
Swedish massage is one of the most common types of massage offered. Its focus is to relieve muscle tension and help you achieve peak relaxation. It’s largely a more gentle massage when compared to the deep tissue massage and involves the entire body, but if you have an area of concern your massage therapist will focus more on that area.
Hot Stone Massage
A hot stone massage is an experience unique to all other massages offered at iMassage because it uses smooth, hot stones to heat your muscles during the massage. The heat released by the stones warms up the muscles and allows the massage therapist to provide a deeper massage without hurting or making you uncomfortable and while using less pressure. The stones are placed on specific parts of your body, often along your spine, in the palms of your hands, on your legs, abdomen, and even your feet.
Corporate massage is relatively new in the business and massage worlds. It typically consists of a 15-20 minute massage done over the top of clothes in a special chair. The practice draws inspiration from the swedish massage, and focuses on areas that are under strain in an office environment. Corporate massages are provided by employers to relax employees, increase their productivity, and make them feel valued by their company. iMassage wants to help employers help their employees by providing quality massage services in a corporate setting.
A lymphatic massage, also referred to as “lymphatic drainage”, is conducted through soft, circular strokes. The lymph system plays an integral role in the body’s immune system, so a lymph massage can alleviate various health issues. According to various studies, lymphatic massage can be an effective treatment for health issues such as Lymphedema, Fibromyalgia, and various orthopedic injuries.
Facial massage is intended to relax you, drain fluids in the face, ease tension in your muscles, and lift and sculpt your face. This type of massage is often given accompanying a facial to make your skin more radiant. It also stimulates collagen production through increasing blood and oxygen flow to the muscles and blood vessels in the face.
Foot Soak and Massage
A foot massage is generally sought after by people who spend most of their day standing, walking, or exercising on their feet. This kind of strain can cause aches in your feet, which can lead to pain elsewhere in the body. iMassage provides a relaxing foot soak and massage to melt away the stress and pain from your foot and leg muscles.
Gentle Soft Touch and Palliative Care
iMassage provides palliative care, which caters to people suffering from a serious, life-threatening illness such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and ALS. Our main goal is to ease their suffering and potentially better their quality of life in the midst of a serious illness. We will listen to you and cater our services to your situation and needs.
